The courses listed on our website are limited to non-Dutch higher education courses, taught at Flemish higher education institutions.
However, before you decide to enrol in a programme, it is important to check the language the courses will be taught in. You should also remember that the institution of your choice may ask you to take a preliminary language test to evaluate your language skills.
Students that have been accepted by a Flemish university or university college and that wish to take a Dutch language course may be granted a temporary residence permit (maximum one year) before the start of the programme.
The Immigration Service of the Federal Public Service Home Affairs will take a decision on other courses of a similar nature. Contact the institution or the Immigration Service for more information about the conditions and necessary documents.
Tuition fees
You can study in Flanders by participating in a European exchange programme, like the Life Long Learning Programme, Tempus or Erasmus Mundus, if your home institution participates. Make sure you contact the International Relations Office at your home institution first.
Tuition fees for degree students are determined by Flemish law and indexed on an annual basis.
Information on tuition fees is available from the institutions. It is advised to contact the Flemish institution, once you decide to enrol in a programme, in order to check the tuition fee.
EILC is a scheme supported by the European Commission offering specialised courses in the less widely used European Union languages and the languages of other countries participating in Erasmus.
