I have really enjoyed my stay in Belgium, not only because of the courses that I had looked forward to for a long time but also in terms of meeting new people - new people from all over the world. I had my classes with local students as well as with internationals from Norway and Finland. Apart from sharing ideas and helping each other with courses, they also played a role as my English teacher; I feel that my English has improved a lot with the help of the other students.

Flanders and Brussels boast a high level of diversity on and off campus. Brussels is the second most diverse city in the world, after Dubai. Belgians in general are known for being open-minded and interested in meeting people of different backgrounds. English is widely spoken, on top of the three official languages: Dutch, French and German. Flemish Higher Education welcomes more and more international students, which results in an increasingly multicultural and international campus environment. In 2020, 12% of international students are enrolled in Flemish Higher Education.
